According to the Douglas County Libraries Appeals Policy, “Should the customer desire to appeal the decision of the Executive Library Director, the Executive Library Director will assist the customer in making the request to the Board. The Board’s decision will be final.“
Several challenged books are heading towards the Board for a final decision. We need YOU to tell the trustees that book bans have no place in Douglas County!

Save the Date
Save the date for Wednesday, August 23rd! The meeting begins at 5:30PM, but plan to arrive early to park and sign in for public comment. We’ll present the petition to the trustees at the August Board Business Meeting, which is scheduled at the Parker Library. The Board of Trustees will make a final decision on at least four of the challenged titles.
We’ll see you there, fellow #FReadom Defenders!
