During the April Library Board of Trustees Meeting, members of a conservative Christian group called the “Freedom Fathers” launched an attack against books with LGBTQ themes. One speaker even suggested a bonfire. An equal number of community members spoke in defense of the library’s collection policies, diverse books and the freedom to read.
